The Fair and Unbiased Home Insurance Review

Writing a home insurance review is similar to writing a restaurant review. My palate is different, as my needs are different. Thus, when sitting down to write a home insurance review, I decided to take a slightly different angle on the whole scheme of review writing. This home insurance review is based on the general rather than the specific, as I am giving you enough credit to be able to determine what is likely to fit your needs versus what simply can not fit your needs.One of the standards for making it into my home insurance review was the ability and ease of purchasing home insurance online. If you couldn't easily purchase home insurance online, I didn't even bother to review you since I am not interested in leaving my phone number and hearing from you five days later. This happened with several of the big wig companies like Allstate, Prudential, and Amica. Instead of receiving a home insurance quote, I was given a splash page, shown several pages about how awesome their insurance was, and then left without the ability to continue the purchasing process until someone "returned my call' several days later.

In my home insurance review, I determined that smaller companies offered a higher level of service and offered easier and more accessible home insurance purchase practices. In fact, the smaller companies beat out the large big wigs by at least ten points on my personal rating scale for ease, convenience, price, and service. While I myself did not file a claim, I did a little digging on those who had filed claims with numerous companies in order to include the responsiveness to claims in my home insurance review. Basically, once again, smaller companies tend to be more responsive and hire fewer lawyers to keep you from what is rightfully yours. In fact, smaller insurance companies tend to pay out on claims up to 35% faster. I don't know about you, but when there is a hole in the side of my house U want the fastest pay out possible so that I can get on with my life instead of living around a hole in my house.

My home insurance review rated customer service with some pretty heavy weight given to those scores. When I can't do something online for whatever reason, the first thing I want to do is pick up the phone and talk to a real live human being. As I started this home insurance review process I had forgotten how taxing it can be to speak to one of those automated voice receptionists that try to carry on a prerecorded conversation with you. Of course, then they repeat everything back to you so it takes twice as long, but hey, the insurance company wasn't inconvenienced by having to lift the phone to their ear in order to speak with me. This is the habit of larger companies, and thus once again, the smaller home insurance companies beat out the big wigs by a mile.
